This piano was originally sold as a Model G, Style 3 full upright piano.

This model was the largest, fanciest, and most expensive upright piano in the Steinway product line, selling new for 1,000 - the cost of a small house in 1879 The tone quality of this amazing piano will rival any high quality upright piano built today.

This beautiful instrument is made of endangered Brazilian Rosewood with extensively carved legs, moldings and trim.

Note the SS trademark initials for Steinway Sons carved in the lower fretwork panel.
